Q.6- Which was your first movie as an actor ?
ANS .6- Ajab Ghazab Love in a very small role. But Aashiqui 2 as a proper character, a noticeable character.
Q.7 Talking about SHOOTOUT howz ur experience working in this movie? Tell me something about the story about ur role in this movie .
Ans 7 -Shootout was a very good experience. I got to do so many things which I haven’t done till then. Be it actions, songs, dance, romance. So Shootout was a good experience. My role was of a cop, and since the film has released I can reveal some of the more details. I play a gray shaded cop who falls in love with a lady cop he works with and he had a dark past, a past with the villain herself.
Q.8-Do u remember any incident which is memorable for you while working in SHOOT OUT ?
ANS 8 - I have so many incidents in my mind, but to share one I will share the scariest one. As I said I have done rope actions for the first time in the film. So on the very first day of the shoot director came to me narrated me the scene that I have to jump from the 10th floor of the building. I was all excited with the narration and I went on to my action director and happily tied myself to start the scene. After that Action director dada and his team started pulling me and I was hanging outside a multi story building. Looking down was scary at first, but It took the whole day to shoot that sequence and after once I got use to it and I started enjoying it like a roller-coaster ride. I remember seeing the sunset with Pranjal Bhatt hanging on the 10th floor and I really found it beautiful, it was a never seen before and never felt before experience.
Q.9 - How was your experience working with PRANJAL BHATT mam?
ANS.9- It was great working with her. She is a very nice human being, very down to earth and very supportive as well.

Q.10- I came to know that you are a director too so which Is more tough job ACTING or DIRECTION ?
ANS 10 - I am not into direction as of now, I am into writing. Yes, I have started writing as a part of my acting struggle. I writing happened because of the acting. I am not like a professional writer, I act it out to understand the character and I explore the character while acting, and then whatever I felt I write. My stories are majorly character based stories. They are the journey of the characters. So yea I am an actor who writes. Writing has helped me to understand the acting even more. And yes, I am planning to direct my first short film very soon, I have finished writing it, will declare it soon about that. And I don’t think you can compare the toughness of acting, writing or directing. They are equally tough and equally enjoyable if you like doing them. And I enjoy everything about films.
Q.12- Who are Your Role Models in Acting?
ANS- 12 - I have so many role models. I like Shahrukh Khan as he was the first one to inspire me, then when I started learning and then I started loving the work of Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, Leonardo Dicaprio, Pankaj Kapoor, Naseerudin shah and so many. I think Irrfan Khan is a perfect combination of stardom and being a great actor in bollywood. So all the names mentioned and may be I am missing some more names as my role model. I love Akshay Kumar’s work and the struggle he has gone through and the achievement he has had in his life. So yea to name a one will be unfair to other inspirations.
Q.13- Fans are waiting for your next movies so when your next movie is coming?

So without wasting time lets start the Conversation
Hello DEEP how are you? Thank you for the Interview with JIYA EVENTS
So my 1st q is
Q.1 . T ell me something about yourself like from where You are, about your childhood your child hood fun .
ANS 1 -I am born and brought up in Ahmadabad only, to be precise in Thaltej. I use to study in a local Gujarati medium school. I was very shy and a ‘Sidha sada’ bachcha during the school days. I started doing street plays in Thaltej with swadhyay pariwar when I was in 8th standard. In my first play with them, I just had one line and that line I use to come and speak for around 8 to 9 times in the play. I still remember that line “Java do ne, Matki ma su chhe”.. After that Janmashtami street play I became star of my school as everyone from my class to other classes saw that play. I think that was the first incident when I felt that I can be an actor. I started opening up after that and started participating in plays like that. I was a sincere student as well, I use to come first or second in my class and I use to love that, though I dint like to study that much. One more memory from my childhood is my father use to take us whole family to the drive in cinema to watch movie once in a month, so Drive-in cinema has been my favorite place. I still go there for an experience of that particular theatre.
Q.2 . Oh Thats great
What you wanted to become in Child Hood ?
ANS.2 - I wanted to become a wicket keeper batsman when I was in 7th or 8th as I saw Iqbal during that time, and that film had an impact on me. After that I wanted to become a pilot as I saw Veer-Zaara, that film and Shahrukh Khan created magic for me. But eventually I realized that its films which are inspiring me, so its nothing but acting which I want to pursue in my life. But till then I have taken the science stream and I joined Shree Narayan Guru Vidyalay. And the strangest thing is I have done plays in the school annual function even though I was in the science stream. I have thought of a concept, and I designed the play. I guess that was the first time I have created (written) something. as well, I use to come first or second in my class and I use to love that, though I dint like to study that much. One more memory from my childhood is my father use to take us whole family to the drive in cinema to watch movie once in a month, so Drive-in cinema has been my favorite place. I still go there for an experience of that particular theatre.
Q.3 .Every success has a struggle story what is yours?
ANS 3 - My struggle story consists of around 1200 auditions, and around 1150 rejections. I shifted to Mumbai in 2011, to be precise 1/1/2011. I started my new year with shifting to Mumbai, and I knew no one in Mumbai. No body from my family and friends knew anyone out of Gujarat. So I dint have a single idea what to do and where to start with. I just had one thing in my mind very clear that I wanted to be an actor. So I shifted and I started staying at a chawl in Sewri (the name of the area). The chawl dint have the toilet in the chawl rooms so everybody in the chawl used to use the common toilet. I use to teach yoga in those days to survive, to earn some money to pay the rent of the chawl and to fulfill other requirements. So I had a yoga classes in Andheri which is around 30 kms, and the frequency of local trains use to be very less, so I had to wake up at 5 o clock to reach to yoga class at 7. After finishing my yoga classes I use to come back home, cook food for myself, then get ready to go for the auditions. I started going randomly, use to go to every possible office and check whether the auditions are happening or not. Eventually I made friends and started getting information about the auditions. And things went on. I got selected for some TV show, and during that time I was not so sure about whether I should go for a TV show or not, so I decided to let go of the show. I got a small part in Ajab Ghazab love during that time, I was very happy as my part was in the trailer and it gave me a boost. People saw the trailer and noticed me in it. It was my first encounter to the little fame. After that I gave audition for the lead role for Aashiqui 2 as they have kept open audition. They finalized lead cast in Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shradhdha kapoor. And they started looking for the secondary cast. They called me to audition for an anchor, and they again called me for the bar tender. So after 3 rounds of auditions I got my part in Aashiqui 2. After Aashiqui 2 things became easy, I started knowing more and more people from the industry and I have started teaching yoga to the people from the industry. The struggle is still on, but now the struggle is of a different kind.
Q.4-OH SUPERB . How you feel like after getting appreciation for Your work?
Ans. 4-Appreciation is food for actors. You always feel great after getting appreciated for any of your work. It started with Aashiqui 2, and It went on for the short films I did. And recently one of my short film won Dada Saheb Phalke Award. One of my film got premiered in Cannes International Film festival, that was the most precious experience and I felt appreciated for the work. The standing ovation in Cannes screening was special. One Swiss director approached me for one of her project and that was more than special.
